SNOW JOKE!!!

Like thousands and thousands of peeople all over Ireland and the UK I am FED UP with this stupid snow!! I used to LOVE the snow when I was younger and my only worry was how tall I should make my snowman or which one of my brothers should I hit with a snowball first! But now I've found the white stuff, which seems to linger much longer these days than I can ever remember is just a major hassle and problem!! Snowed in for three days as the entrance to where I live is on quite a steep slope, which is now one large sheet of ice has almost drove me insane!!

It's not just the fact that I'm snowed in that's annoying it's the bloody timing of it all! WHY come a week before Christmas?? When I still have a few presents to buy!! :(

I'm going to continue this rant by expressing my anger at WHY the hell this country is not prepared for this kind of weather? We all knew a few weeks ago that it was coming so why were the Roads Service and Airports and other Public transport which people rely on so much not prepared for this?? Countries all over the world experience this kind of weather too and yet their roads, airports, railways and bus services are all fully operational?? 

Another thing which really annoyed me this weekend is that the football was cancelled!! Despite the fact that the ground at Anfield for the Liverpool vs. Fulham game was clear, they called it off because of snow lying around the ground. Now I'm all for health and safety but I watched the Leicester vs Ipswich game on Saturday evening and despite it snowing heavily and the players being brought on and off the pitch to clear the snow on several occasions the game still went ahead for the full 90 mins and there was still a good crowd of supporters there to watch!! Yet our team is in the Premier League and are matches are called off?? WEIRD!

I'm going to stop ranting on now as I know it's a bore! lol I'm going to finish on a positive note and wish you all a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a fabulous New Year!! I hope Santa comes, I'm getting excited!! :) :)

PS I decided to write in Red for a festive theme and to express my anger AND of course because it is my favourite colour and the colour of the best football team in the world...Liverpool FC! :) xx

Hitting the big 21!!! ;)

 Well I am now officially an adult!! :O I turned the big 2-1 on Friday past and now I have to act sensible? I can't exactly see that happening! lol But I did have an absolutely brilliant time celebrating over the weekend at home. I went out for a lovely chinese meal with my family and boyfriend on Friday nite and then on Saturday all roads led to Sense nightclub were we partied the night away...VIP style if you don't mind! ;) Ah it was a brilliant nite despite being -9degrees when we were coming home in the snow! Madness!
I got absolutley spolit by all my family, friends and of course my lovely boyfriend!

So all in all I think I have to say...turning 21 isn't as bad as I thought although I think the hangover gets worse as you get older, either that or I just had one too many jagerbomb! ;) xx

Busy weekend draws to a close

It's Sunday evening already and I cannot believe it. This weekend has been completely manic, and not in a good way. I've been completely swamped with Uni work and have had at least one story to cover every day since Thursday! Not that I'm complaining about that of course because I need as many good quality stories as I can get my hands on for my portfolio which is now due in less than 3 weeks...oh my god!!

One of the highlights though of the weekend was getting to see this famous truck in all it's glory! All together now: "HOLIDAYS ARE COMING, HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!" :D

And of course another major plus from this weekend was Liverpool beat West Ham 3-0 :) Hoping and praying we've got past the black spot and we can go on winning and winning! :)

This weekend has been productive as I have covered all my stories and written them up and onto templates for the website but now I feel like I've hit a brick wall. Concentration today is lapsing A LOT. Thinking about giving up for tonight and just enjoying my Sunday night TV fest: X Factor. I'm a Celeb followed by Desperate Housewives...LOVE IT!! :) I've worked hard this weekend so it's definately time for a little relaxation with my favourite programmes. After all, tomorrow begins another manic week, but the best thing about this week is that it leads up to Friday...which is of course my BIG Birthday!!! :) 21 candles...I feel old! :)

Back to the blogging world!

After setting this blog up a couple of months ago and saying I was going to contribute to it on a regular basis...well it just didn't happen! But now I'm back I've had a little play around with how it looks to excuse the layout at the min I know it's a little rough around the edges. Hello blogging world! I've FINALLY got around to creating my blog! Being a final year Journalism student it's probably well overdue, oh well better late than never! So now I've got it all set up...let the blogging commence! :)
